As it has in years past, the birthday theme rolled over into the Halloween costumes:
I started shopping online in early September for Angry Bird costumes - they were everywhere and decently priced. One problem - the kids couldn't decide which one they wanted to be. Annoying. When October rolled around, I forced them to just commit to a bird. Unfortunatley, when I went to buy them they'd doubled in price. DRATS!
So I was forced to make them. $17 in materials from JoAnn's. Priceless tears, sweat, and agony from me.
And of course we didn't want K and Penny to feel left out:
The kids actually got to go Trick'or Treating twice this year. It pays to know "people" at local marinas.
If you've never Trick'or Treated on boats, you're really missing out!
We had only one "BIRD DOWN!" incident, as Clara was trying to catch up to Max. I was really glad that I was skimpy with her bird stuffing.
And last but not least, at the end of the night, Max treated us to this:

Get that kid in dance lessons! How many times a day did you let him watch that music video? PS One amazing woman for making those professional looking costumes.

That's brilliant! And the costumes are nothing short of GENIUS! I am picturing you teaching Max the Thriller dance...
